Engineering Intern (Req #: 1172 - multiple internships available in areas of Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Production)

3 Phoenix is a small business actively involved in a diverse range of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) system development programs.  The designs are multidisciplinary and require a broad background including familiarity with mechanical design, electronics design and software design.  We specialize in system-level design and integration including high speed data processing and digital signal processing for high-end military sensor systems, involving sonar, radar, imaging and electronic warfare.  We believe in strong team dynamics, job satisfaction, and making each team member successful.  Creativity and personal initiative are essential.

Engineering interns at 3 Phoenix are considered to be an integral part of our engineering team.  They are provided with tasks that give insight into a career in engineering while providing both a challenging and educationally stimulating environment.  Under the guidance of senior level staff (mentors), the students will support teams in Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Production.

The goal of our internship program is to develop future engineers for our organization while providing support to our programs.  We structure assignments so that interns develop the ability to accept an increasing level of engineering complexity and responsibility.

• Major in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field of study
• Detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
• Must be self motivated and capable of working independently when necessary
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and customers
• All positions require the ability to obtain the appropriate personnel clearance (i.e., U.S. Citizenship may be required)
